Little insights on the way there:

How to give a gift

It’s graduation time for a number of people. Mine was about a month ago, so I’m a little late on writing this post; but, all is well. People from Nigeria tend to give money to anyone celebrating so, as custom goes, I got a good amount of money as gifts from family and friends. Someone, however, did something a little different. I love the arts, and I love to sketch; so he gave me a notebook filled with blank white pages. And the text on the notebook cover prompts me to “CREATE.” It’s so simple, but I love it. The insight I got from that was: it’s more heartfelt to give someone a gift that encourages their dream / passion. It says you really thought about who they are; and more importantly, that you believe in them.
