RISE Conference 2018 was a night of revival! The annual Godkulture conference took place at City Church Chicago on November 10. The full-day experience kicked off the day with a general session called Spark of Genius led by Rotimi Kehinde and featured a great panel of entrepreneurs. Followed up by Creative & Worship tracks that counted with amazing talented facilitators such as Tomi Favored, Dori del Rio, Rodney Young, Olumide Kehinde, and Dr. Susy Best.
The second part of the day took place in the main auditorium where people across 35 churches experienced such a powerful time of worship, dance, and teaching. The evening experience featured six new songs including ‘You deserve’ (GK worship), and ‘Cross The Mountains‘ (Lucia Bracho). God for sure took us higher and higher! From the worship set, the theatrical performance, to our featured & guest artists and of course, the life-changing message that Pastor Anna Morgan shared in the evening, this year’s conference left its attendees with a message unlike any other; it is time to RISE!
Guest artists like Femi Ogebule and Tomi Favored (Houston) also contributed to making the night unforgettable! We haven’t recovered from the worship session with Erick Townsend! Heaven invaded earth!
RISE was inspired by the scripture Ezekiel 37 of The Valley of Dry Bones;
“The hand of the Lord was on me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. He asked me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”
I said, “Sovereign Lord, you alone know.”
Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”
Lijo George shared a powerful spoken word piece. Pastor Sho prayed and encouraged the sons & daughters of Christ to rise up into the fullness of God’s calling.
Hope we see you next year @ GodKulture Conference 2019.
